About Me

Welcome to my page! A little about myself: I am an avid computer programmer and aspiring engineer currently studying at Swarthmore College. I am from Portland, Oregon, and when I am not studying or working on personal projects, I enjoy backpacking, playing soccer, skiing, reading, practicing my Spanish, playing guitar, and pretty much doing anything outdoors. I look forward to connecting with you!

Resume

I am a hardworking Swarthmore engineering student with experience in MATLAB, app development, Python, algorithm design and much more!

Work Experience

June 2022-August 2022

Software Engineer Intern

Oregon Health and Science University

During this summer internship, I developed a mobile application in Kotlin that works in tandem with a custom stethoscope to detect heart pathological heart murmurs. I also attended weekly project updates and machine-learning meetings, during which I prepared presentations and led discussions regarding the project and artificial intelligence.

May 2023-August 2023

Restaurant Host

Ohana Hawaiian Cafe

Served tables, prepared food, washed dishes, and fulfilled customer needs in a fast-paced, high-energy, restaurant environment.

Jan 2021-Jun 2021

Data Analyst Intern

Oregon Health and Science University

Analyzed body temperature data using statistical models in Python to predict the time and date of female patient parturition. I also attended weekly machine-learning presentations, during which I learned about the implementation and practical utility of artificial intelligence models.

Research

Fall 2023-present

Numerical Methods with Aerospace Emphasis

Swarthmore College

Used MATLAB to approximate functions and differential equations to desired orders of accuracy using algorithms such as Runge-Kutta Methods, Gauss-Legendre Quadratures, and other Spatial/Temporal Discretizations.

Fall 2023-Spring 2024

Electromagnetic Induction from a Novel Wind-Energy Harvesting Device

Swarthmore College

Explored Faraday's Law and analyzed how magnetic oscillation frequency and amplitude affects electromagnetically induced voltage. I also used MATLAB and Arduino to record and analyze time-series voltage data obtained by oscillating a neodymium magnet through a coil using a custom 3D printed oscillator.

Education

2023-present

Bachelor's of Science in Engineering

Swarthmore College
2019-2023

High School Degree

U.S. Grant High School

GPA: 4.22
